We are honored to announce that Maia Cogen has once again been selected for inclusion in National Black Lawyers (NBL) Top 100 for Georgia. She joins Allegra Lawrence-Hardy and Lovita Tandy who are also recognized in NBL as some of the nation’s most accomplished Black lawyers.
Maia focuses her practice in the areas of Labor and Employment, Class and Collective Actions, Internal Investigations, Political Law, Title IX and higher education issues, and nonprofit matters. She is trained in trauma informed interviewing techniques and works closely with clients to assist them in navigating internal investigations and resolving complaints. Maia also counsels organizations in developing preventative measures that address cultural issues in the workplace and implementing measures to improve communications between management and staff.

A complex commercial litigator, Maia also strategically advises clients in resolving disputes through negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, or at trial. Her litigation expertise includes the full range of labor and employment issues as well as novel political and election law issues. Maia was an integral part of the litigation team that represented over 500 plaintiffs in a nationally publicized election law case in Georgia.

Maia has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® and is a member of the Litigation Counsel of America, a distinction reserved for fewer than 1% of the attorneys in the country. She graduated summa cum laude from Spelman College and earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School.
