Lawrence & Bundy attorneys are experienced in managing the complexity and risk involved in
high-stakes class and collective action lawsuits. Drawing on our breadth of experience litigating on
behalf of  defendants and plaintiffs, we work closely with our clients to understand their needs and
provide creative, innovative and effective legal strategies to resolve collective and class claim
allegations. Representative examples of our experience include:
  • Successfully defended a national retailer against an EEOC pattern
    and practice case alleging race discrimination in hiring

  • Successfully defended and obtained a dismissal on behalf of a nationwide insurance provider against a Charge of systemic age discrimination involving pay and promotion

  • Successfully defended and settled at the Charge stage a claim for systemic failure to accommodate under the Americans with Disabilities Act filed against a consumer products company with more than one hundred facilities

  • Defended consumer goods companies against multiple misclassification, overtime, and meal & rest break class and collective actions involving hundreds of drivers, manufacturing, and warehouse workers under the Fair Labor Standards Act and California Private Attorneys General Act; successfully defeated class certification or reached favorable negotiated settlement in all cases

  • Successfully defended a well-known family-owned business in a class action arising out of a local regulatory process

  • Successfully represented an Atlanta contractor in a collective action under the Fair Labor Standards Act that resulted in a settlement of the claims

  • Obtained summary judgment for a consumer goods company against multi-plaintiff litigation alleging race discrimination in pay and promotion
  • Served as settlement class counsel representing plaintiffs in successful negotiations with a manufacturer involved in products liability cases drawn from breast implant multi-district litigation involving several hundred thousand women

  • Obtained favorable award and negotiated settlement for two groups of one hundred plaintiffs
    in collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act involving calculations of wage payment.
