Scott Mario has more than two decades of experience representing business clients in the areas of employment advice and counseling, internal investigations, and state and federal employment law compliance including Title VII, the ADA, the FMLA, the FLSA, and the WARN Act.
 
Scott is also highly skilled at guiding Fortune 100 companies and large business clients through reductions in force, litigating class and collective actions, and assisting clients with employment law issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions. A talented negotiator, clients rely on Scott to help them resolve contract disputes. Scott is also experienced in the development of effective personnel policies and the drafting and negotiating of employment agreements, non-compete agreements, and separation agreements.
 
Prior to joining Lawrence & Bundy, Scott practiced at a major international law firm where he litigated cases in state and federal courts involving employment discrimination claims, wage and hour matters, and leave laws.

  • Led internal investigation regarding allegations of sex discrimination, disability discrimination, and wrongful termination raised by a former C-suite executive at a prominent fintech company.

  • Conducted FMLA and ADA training for the US legal department and HR professionals of a Fortune Global 500 automaker.

  • Conducted multiple on-site diversity, equity, and inclusion training sessions for a rapidly growing aerospace company.

  • Represented a prominent retail chain in nationwide pattern-or-practice action brought by EEOC alleging race discrimination in hiring over a ten-year period.

  • Represented a computer software company in FLSA collective action alleging misclassification and other wage-and-hour violations.
