Course Overview
This course is designed to explain the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family & Medical Leave in common sense terms. It also points out the overlap and distinctions between the two laws and provides guidance on handling common scenarios.

After this training, participants will be able to perform in their role with an understanding of the following:
  • Employee rights and protections under the ADA
  • Reasonable accommodation and the interactive process
  • Employee rights and protections under the FMLA
  • Interplay between the ADA and the FMLA
  • Guidelines for managing leaves and accommodations
  • Confidentiality and documentation
